Day 8: Had a great sleep last night. The hotel in Dalat was just lovely. We boarded the bus at 8.30am this morning and drove directly to the market, where we had the opportunity to experience all those sights, that sometimes you wish you could just remain ignorant about!! We strolled through a very busy market area, and honeslty I wish I hadn't! The vegetables and fruits were fantastic, and just about everything imaginable was there. But the live produce Yuck!! Poor little frogs.... and bunnies... and ........
We also went along to an embroidery factory, where there would have been at least 100 young girls (no younger than 18yrs) sitting at long tables embroidering some pretty impressive works of art. Absolutely amazing!
Back on the bus, we drove through the old French quarter, but unfortunately didn't get a real opportunity to take any photos.
We arrived in the beachside town of Nha Trang this afternoon, after a 4hr bus ride on a very winding road, which at times was rather hairy to say the least!
Nha Trang is smaller than Dalat, but has a higher population, so is quite busy. We had another delicious lunch at Chopsticks and we're off to the Sailing club for dinner tonight.
Hopefully, we will get the photos up soon. We're in Nha Trang for 2 nights.
Thank you all for sending your messages, it's great to hear from you.
Until next time, love to you all Glenda & Alan xxx
