Day 9: After quite a big night at the Sailing Club, we were up early to enjoy a day on the water. At the port we jumped on board our boat which took us across to a little island, where we disembarked and walked through the little community living there.Gorgeous little kids everywhere, running up to us to say hello! We walked to the other side of the island and then had to be taken to our boat in big baskets!! Women from the village handle the "boats", and it really wasn't as scary as it looked!!
The boat sailed to a part of the bay on the South China Sea where it anchored, and we were able to swim and relax the morning away. Women on board offered massages and beauty treatments for anyone who was interested. I don't mind saying that I did indulge myself! A beautiful big spread was laid out for lunch (and yes Jan, we do seem to be eating a lot!!) After lunch we sailed back into Nha Trang, where a lovely cool showere was waiting.
Long Thanh, a Vietnamese photographer has a gallery in town, so Alan & I took a cab to have a look. Fantastic works and very poignant.
Dinner was at the Louisiane Brewhouse, and I had the best Vegie curry!! But were a lot more docile and back at the hotel fairly early. Too many jam jars the night before!
