Day 2: Began the day with breakfast in the hotel. There's something about me and electrical equipment! I couldn't get the toaster to work, so asked a Chef to help. I stood there eyes wide and mouth agape while he stuck his stainless steel tongs into the toaster! Whatever it was the toaster worked and the Chef lived!!

First things first, we needed to find a pair of glasses for Alan. So after some orienteering, we set off for Ben Thahn Market, where there are so many optical places, among other things. It's mind boggling!! The food, the flowers.... Anyhow we found a pair of glasses ($35 D & G)! Don't ask about the testing methods!!

We had heard about the rooftop bar on top of the Rex Hotel, and found it not far from our hotel, so had to check it out. Alan had a large beer, which came in a ltr size glass! I had a Saigon Special cocktail - yummy!! We got some terrific shots from the rooftop, and promise to get them all loaded, but having some trouble with slow internet connections.

We had dinner at a lovely restaurant. All yum!!
