Marahau (Abel Tasman) to West Coast (Greymouth) - Tuesday 6th December 2011
On our way to Greymouth - we stopped at a number of national park stops which included the Paparoa National Park and the Chimney Pot and flapjack like rock formations.
I really don't have much to say about Greymouth - it's a small town consisting of two main high streets, which I covered in under 10 minutes, and that was about all it had to offer. This was a night stopover before heading the Franz Josef the next day, so there were no high expectations. A lack of Kodak moments speak for themselves.
We did however play a few bar games in the evening which included making an outfit from a bin bag and wearing it for the evening. I went for a Bob Marley dreadlock look which seemed to be a hit with the bar staff. However the winning prize went to Georgie who carried off a Lady Gaga number.
The only other highlight of the night was Amy's attempt at pulling a bunch of American's (hands down to here) and the cardboard box game.
