Boulia famous for its min -min lights an unexplained phenomen which appear in the sky at unpredictable times. One can pay to sit up all night waiting to get a glimpse of them maybe, and listen to locals tell their stories but we preferred to get some shuteye.
Arrived at boulia about 3pm,temp 34 degrees wind has dropped thank goodness. Having a wee bevy after setting up camper. The trip was a bit boring but it was broken up with sightings of 3 brolgas, 2 camels, cattle wandering the road and roadworks. We are in channel country and when it is the rainy season it floods for klms so they end up fixing roads for the rest of the year. However they are better than the s.a. Outback roads. I' m just glad we are out of the birdsville dust storm! Heading to mount Isa tomorrow.
