SOUTH AFRICA
There hasn\'t been much activity since my last update.
But yesterday, 7 of the volunteers mainly consisting of my team but one, were invited to a brie, the African term for barbeque. The hostess was a taxi driver that Ian, Nina, and I met a couple weeks ago and we found her to be wonderful and kind. So we took her up on her offer and we had a feast yesterday. There was pork chops, sausages, chicken, potato salad, roti, and grilled sandwiches. It took a while to have everything prepared but it was well worth the wait because the food was scrumptuous. It was really nice being invited by a local and sharing good food and times, that would never happen in Toronto.
The orphanage was another good shift, Ian bought some toys for the kids, spoiling them with skelectrics, electrics cars, a beading set, and a dart board. The kids loved it all, even I was addicted to the electrics cars. Other than that, things are pretty much the same.
