SOUTH AFRICA
Lately, I've been taking it a bit easier, knowing that I'll be at the orphanage for the next 3 days, Ian and I have been preparing for what activities we should involve the children with. We're both pretty excited to met all the kids.
But that doesn't mean that I haven't been doing anything. Yesterday, the house had a barbeque prepared by the boys. We had tons of food, like shish kebobs, burgers, butternut squash, chicken wings, and salad. I think it's safe to say that I enjoyed it more than McDonald's.
I also visited Long Street and Green Point, which is a market where locals sell native arts and crafts. Long Street is supposedly the 'main hub' of Cape Town, but it seemed pretty dead to me. I think it's busier during the night, it seemed to have some nice bars in the area.
The house also went to a club last night, it was a weird mixture of a club/bar. The bar area looked like a club, while the lounge/dance floor seemed too small to be a club, it was also pretty dead, but all things considered, it was a Wednesday. People here love to party though, we were out till 4, which is when last call is here.
Today, the plan is to hike Table Mountain. If things fall through, stay tuned for pics from the top!
