Hello everyone, i am still alive and survived hurricane thomas! It never really got that close to us, although we still got 2 days off school. We didnt even experience that bad of weather, we walked around the streets and didnt feel at all in danger.
The weekend before last we went to mango bay, which is about 2 hours away on the local bus. The place we stayed at was right the beach, and very beautiful. We arrived on the friday night and it was a very strange feeling, as it was so different to the fiji that i now know. I felt home sick from suva on the first night and just wanted to go home, there were so many white people!! We went both snorkelling and kayaking on the saturday which was very fun, i saw lots of beautiful fish and even a small shark! We had to come home early Sunday morning because they were scared the hurricane was going to hit, but we still had a good time.
Last weekend we went and stayed in a village of one of ladies that works at the school. Everyone in the village were so welcoming towards us. We went to a youth meeting saturday afternoon that started at 4:30 and went right through till 8, the church was packed out but they managed to find 2 special seats for us, we arrived late and had to walk past everyone to get to the front, they then invited us on stage to tell the 100 people about ourselves and what we were doing in fiji, which was very embarrasing. The whole service was in Fijian and as we were in the special seats we were not close to people we knew so we had no idea what was going on the whole time, at one point they made a joke about us and everyone laughed, still dont know what they said. We had a relaxing day sunday as it was heavily raining, although i think i have been married off. One of the ladies in the village asked me how old i was then told me that her son was turning 21 soon and needed a girlfriend/wife and if i had any room in my suitcase on the way home could i please take him.
School is going very good although there is not much for me do at the moment as there is five student teachers at the moment and only five classes. I have been spending most of my time in the autistic class which i really enjoy and find very interesting. All the kids have funny little things that they do, which i find very interesting but they are all very cute and i am getting very attached to some of them. Most of them have very little speech so it made my day when Tien said good morning to me last week.
Well i am very excited because Tori and Bec are coming to Suva tomorrow, so i am looking forward to showing them around, and then spending the weekend with them. Thats all from me xxxxxxxxxFelicia

Nanny Hi Leici, Happy Easter darlin, How do you celebrate over there, I went to Mass last night Gary and Cassie were singing , I saw Claire O' and Cassie giving each other a big hug afterwards. Good Friday Louise and I had a coffee with our Claire at Anglesea. Anglesea is chock a block with people and cars were bumper to bumper heading down the Great Ocean Road. We are having lovely sunny weather this easter. We had salmon for lunch with Mark & Sara and the Hussains on Good Friday and I played bowls Saturday afternoon, today I'm going to have lunch with the Mahonys after I wash my dirty car. Lachlan came and cut my lawn on Friday, he going well at Ballarat. The girls slept over last weekend when Christine & Paul went to Luke's wedding. Paul has had a bad back, very painful for the last 10 days. He actually had a few days off work. They are looking forward to their trip to see you in May. I'll send a surprise for you then. Have fun, love Nanny.
