Hello everyone,
I am still having an awesome time and am used to the way of life as a Fijian. I am even eating like a a fijian whick is plenty had 4 bits of toast the other morning! Settling into the hostel a little more and know all the kids names, who are all really sweet and trying to teach Jemma and I sign language which is a very slow process. We had a little party with them on Friday night which they really enjoyed but I learnt playing bobs and statues with deaf people isn't overly successful. We also had an Indian family cook dinner for the hostel on Friday night, it is an Indian tradition to cook a meal and give it to someone in need when it is someone in the families birthday, so it was a very big feast of home made curries, breads and a giant chocolate cake.
Getting used to work, and now find myself a bit busier. I have become a bit of an expert on laminating as if any laminating needs to be done (which is very often, they laminate everything!) I do it. They have got into a bit more of a structure now, so it was gardening on Tuesday afternoon which consisted of everyone just playing in the dirt and picking up the occasional weed, but the kids really enjoyed it. Wednesday was cooking day which as you can imagine got a little messy. Each child was given a ball of some sort of dough to roll flour into and make into a ball, whilst this was happening mums were making the actual cookies which we all ate (the kids thought they were eating what they had rolled)
The weather is still hot but for the last week we have had a lot a lot of rain, which does create a nice breeze but then makes it very muggy.
We had another busy weekend, we went bike riding again Saturday morning along the foreshore and then walked home from there. We then had friends come in from Vutukalulu and one girl, Izzy from Lavoni who stayed with us on Saturday night. We went out and had Chinese where we had enough food for double the amount of people there and including a drink only cost us $8Fj so approx $4Aus and it was really nice. We then went out after that and had a really good night. On Sunday we went back with the Vutukalulu vols (about 45mins on the bus) to have a swim in their natural pool, which is very beautiful. Sunday was also of course valentines day so where else would one go on valentines day but a candle light dinner at Maccas!!! They had the mood set with red table cloths, flowers, candles, the lights covered with red paper, staff dressed in red, and even table service. Having not eaten it in a while, Jemma and I enjoyed every last bite!
Well that is all from me at the moment, not many plans for this week, but we have another friend coming to visit us on the weekend so looking forward to that and we have also been invited to a Kava session so should be good
Miss you all heaps, lots of love Felicia xx

Nanny Hi darlin, Been very busy with our stayz website for Anglesea, lots of bookings, following up emails and checking bank deposits. A team from Belmont including me won the right to represent the district in the State Fours, we go to Colac on Mar 11 to play the final between Colac and Bellarine. It's plum season so it's been plum and raspberry pie, fruit salad, and last night stewed plums and raspberries and icecream. Nicky is loving all the food. We had a family meeting last night about Anglesea and she floored everyone telling Gary "Oh your cute" everyone laughed. I'm having a rest this week as last week I played bowls 5 out of 7. Been beautiful weather this week 25 plus. Thinking of you, Love Nan
Debbie Hi Flee Glad to hear you are doing so well. Our big moment is here now the end of Brons on Monday. We are off this weekend for a pub crawl, we have hired a bus and going down the ocean road. Everyone must dress up. I'm sure Jordon will have photos for you. The new name is going to be Two Sugars. Grand opening on Munday 1st March. I am looking forward to a little rest. Enjoy and look after yourself. Lots of love from the gang at Brons, Debbie & Katie.
Gordon S. Hi Felicia. Read your blog; found it very interesting. The old job at the bakery at Highton must seem pretty dull compared with the life you are living now.Saw Locky last week; seemed pretty chirpy; spends most of his non-working time at ballarat. The pre-season AFL starts for Geelong this coming week-end.Maybeyouhave heard thatMatthew Stokes has been disciplined for possessing a gram of cocaine. His Court case ispending. Your Nan Brennan is still starring at bowls; I still struggle from end-to-end of a Thursday but no spectacular wins! Julie Snowdon had her fiftieth birthday last week-end.Had the usual slap-up McMahon party, but I retired quite early.Leah and Mycalah arestill into dance routines, and slap-up drama displays whichI am sure you have no trouble imagining. Best wishes. Gordon S.
