So yeah, more weird people in the hostel. There is this weird English guy, tall awkward fella, just singles out the women to chat to. Bit creepy.

They actually play bird noises over the speakers at train stops. That's insane! Why would you even do that? Mental, that's what it is! In addition the platforms are literally filled with computer game music, we jingles going off here and there, before announcements, arrival at stations, departure from stations and of course, just randomly! It's like one big game! Each train carriage has 6 sets of doors, there are about 15 carriages per train. Busy busy busy!

Japanese fashion: very style conscious, all the younger Japanese clearly take a lot of time getting ready, just like me, so I fit in! Another item that everyone has is a flip phone, the Nokia one. I thought they went out when smartphones came in, apparently not in Japan! Though there are still plenty of iPhones, very little android. Very common to find people on the iPad when on the train.

I got fleeced today. I don't really know what happened. Some woman came up to me and handed me a card and said peace. Then asked me to put my name in a book. It was only when I got to the end of the column that I saw there was a donation required so she could offer up my wish to a shrine. Conveniently she had a wee picture of this. It was too late I had started writing, and she sealed the deal with a wooden bracelet that she put on my hand. I didn't want to be rude! I asked how much as I saw some pretty big numbers beside the other names. She said 5000 yen and I was like you can have 3000. That's about £25!! Then she started to try to get me to pray for my mum, 1000 will be good for that she said. I was like no thanks and walked away. Lesson learnt. From now on, the answer is no!!! Cleaver b****, picking out tourists, probably is no bloody shrine, just keeping it for herself!

Went to Harajuku today, on the hunt for cosplay individuals. Spent quite a few hours looking, but was only able to find a couple, some of which didn't even want their photo taken! Boring!! Went back to Yoyogi park as it was a good day, sun was beating down, particularly hot! Just across the road there is a lot of noise and commotion, so I venture over for a look. Some sort of festival, with djs and people breakdancing, lots of stalls set up selling food and drink. Good vibe.

Had some super hot Ramen for dinner tonight. Another speak no English joint! I'm getting good at this, straight in sit down and wing it. In this place there were some chopstick with ribbed bits at the end which made it a lot easier to pick up noodles! Super hot and super nice!
