Travel plans scuppered as I was not able to check my bags in at the ADNEC, something to do with additional security required for my flight. Needless to say I'm ripping! This has meant lunch with Judy was cancelled as I wasn't carrying my gear round Abu Dhabi in the heat. So I checked out and got in a taxi. Now I have the very exciting prospect of 5 hours in the airport before my 10 hour flight! Yes!!!

Went to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque today. Arrived about 9.30 so there weren't too many people about and I was able to get a few good shots. Went in to Abu Dhabi today, cost about £8 in a taxi. Went to see the emirates palace. As we pulled up a guard spoke to me in the taxi and told me I needed to be wearing trousers, luckily I had packed them. I swiftly pulled them on over my shorts and was allowed in. So a 7 hour flight was made significantly easier by the ample leg room, courtesy pillow and blanket, and tv mounted on the seat in front which had movies/series/games on demand. ----- I started with The Hunger Games, followed by some street fighter 2(epic!!!) and finished off with some battleship!
