Just a chill day today. Lounging around and having a swim in the pool. Was feeling pretty tired from the travel yesterday.

One thing I will say, people are so friendly here, they really can't do enough for you. I was having my lunch in the Ramadan tent today because there is no eating/drinking during the Ramadan, UAE law! I had ordered my food and when it arrived I noticed I had no salt on the table, so I got up to go to another table to get some. The guy literally vaulted across the room saying 'no no no sir, I'll get it' I put the salt back down and let him pick it up and take it to my table. All very hospitable! He then came over and we started chatting about the Olympics that was on, he was asking me what I would like to watch because there would be no problem changing the channel. Noting is too much trouble here, anything you want. Pretty different to the service you get back home, where ever acknowledging you are there often seems like too much trouble!!

I'm about to try some local arab dish this evening, don't really know what to expect. I got the waiter to talk me through what it was, but to be honest I still have no idea. Awwww well, I'll give it a go!
