Life here has been pretty mellow lately. Our days usually go something like this: wake up, go to school, drive back home & grab our boards and head to the beach for an afternoon surf or just cruise over to our friends villa and hang at their epic pool.
Last week we had a great day river rafting in northern Bali together with a bunch of students froom school. The rafting was something new for both of us and we didn't really know what to expect. We ended up sharing a boat with Paul & Saskia from Germany. Unfortunately our guide was a bit of a nightmare. He wasn't that good at steering and we pretty much hit every rock that came our way. We were one of the first rafts to take off and the last one to arrive at the finish line. At one point we got so frustrated that we decided not to listen to his orders and just paddle with our common sense. Our guide lost it and told Kalle that if he falls then he's "bye bye". However the trip was fun and we did get to appreciate more of Bali's landscape.
Another cool event was the Ku De Ta sunset surf that the Asia Exchange crew threw for us. It was surf day in which a bunch of people from school just hung out, surfed, played frisbee, and got to know each other better. The sunset and vibe were amazing, which made for another great day in Bali.
