Ramadhan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, and Indonesia being the country with the largest muslim population, its impossible to pass by Indo without noticing it. Some of our friends here in Bali are muslim, and for them it is completely normal to fast during the entire month. Kalle would have a hard time trying to be without eating for a month. No that they dont eat, its just that they only eat at night. At sundown they finally may eat and drink, then again at like 2 am, and again before the sun shines they wake up and eat. It is not allowed to drink or eat anything during the day time. Not only is it a new experience for us but a very interesting one. Towards the end of Ramadhan, most of the non-Balinese people go home to celebrate the end of the fasting month with family and friends. Of course this is a week period when Bali gets absolutely full of tourists, which means crazy traffic. We decided to spend our weekend on the Bukit Peninsula once again. We went to Balangan, and Uluwatu. Ate some amazing food at Kat's Kitchen, and enjoyed the company of our friends Magnum and Laya, and Tiia and Sami.
