We finished packing, went to the cafeteria for our morning coffee, called a taxi, said goodbye to our host, and off to Holland America's Rotterdam! It was a European style check in (a continuous cruise of varying lengths each leg) so check in was more then easy. It took all of 15 minutes including the standing in line - of which there was none. After unpacking our hand luggage, since our large suitcases had not yet arrived, we went up to the Lido deck for a bit of lunch and a view of the crashing waves. Yes it is blustery weather outside at this point, but not yet raining. The mandatory life boat drill, a walk around the ship, and a picture of the atrium. A nice quarter played dance music by a minuscule dance floor. Joey wasn't up to dancing... Fast forward to dinner (after unpacking fully and departing port) we had rough seas . So rough that Joey only ate half his dinner and thought he had a defective patch - so we headed back to the cabin for Joey to lie down. My poor baby lasted about an hour when he made a mad dash for the bathroom where he lost not only his half dinner, but lunch, too. So we were in for the night.
