I think this entry will be disjointed sentences and pictures that do not necessarily line up: Michael is our driver -he is an American who grew up in Italy going to American schools Castelnuovo youngest castle in Naples. Castel' Elmo is at top of hill and there are two other castles in Naples. Metropolitan park, American consulate He passed the soccer stadium where Maradona played (A famous Italian soccer player) Lillie is asking all kinds of questions of our driver about his family - three children lives with his wife and her father and he pays in government housing €993 a month. We are going to Pozuoli (the home of Sofia Loren ) by way of the seismic area . We can smell the sulphur from the volcanic activity. This is also a camping resort you can stay and the eighth grade classes come here before the transition to ninth-grade. Everyone sees the hot orange rocks but me... Over the ridge is the anyani district where the volcanic activity is even stronger. We passed the Italian Air Force base where pilots are trained. The amphitheater is over 2,000 years old, a bit older than Pompeii . Neptune's temple with women's jail right behind. Old Roman aqueduct Misseno is a tiny island with a few houses The on to Bacoli. The town that you can see it looks like it's in front of mount vesuvius is Posilipo. In front are the buoys with rope attached and below the water the mussels attach to the rope and when they grow big enough they are picked and sold to markets. Bacoli and Pozuoli out of the tunnel from the lighthouse. In Baia we passed the temple of Diana. There used to be a road from Pozuoli straight to Miseno but because of earthquakes it ended up under water. In this area you can take a glass bottomed boat and see underwater ruins, or there is a diving school where you can scuba or snorkel the underwater ruins! And of course we are in Naples, so we have to go to one of the oldest pizzerias where pizza was created. Here at pizzeria Brandi, we have red wine, salad and pizza! Joey also took pix - and when you visit us(or when Joey gets around to editing, you will be able to see more!
