Merry Christmas everyone!
I can tell you one thing, I don't feel any Christmas spirit what so ever. It's grey and cloudy today and I bet there's risk of rain.
I hope there's tons of beautiful, white snow in Sweden and that you all will have a great Christmas Eve. I wish I was with you.
December the 22nd was Ida's birthday and we celebrated it by going to another visit to Queen Victoria buliding and their famous chocolatecake. That was our lunch for the day Hahaha. Very healthy indeed. We also did some shopping. I bought these suberb shoes for 40 bucks and a pink, I repeat PINK dress for 10 bucks. That's like 50 SEK. Top that!
In the evening we went down to Darling Harbour and had dinner at a nice italian restaurant right by the harbourside. It feelt good to eat food that someone else cooked for once. It was so worth the money. Im getting rather sick of eating toast, toast, pasta and some more toast. We do try to eat some fruit and vegetables once in a while to get some vitamins into our poor bodies. I honestly don't know what's up with me here, I've gotten obsessed with chocolate (more then before that is) And Australian chocolate isn't that good even, not like Swedish marabou anyways. I better be carefull or else Im gonna have to book two seats on the flight to Dubai.
So change of plans once again folks! For the last time I hope. We're now officially going to Hong Kong on the 28th of January. Then Ida goes back to Copenhagen and Im off to Dubai again. This means that we're not gonna have time to see everything that we wanted, especially not the Outback, Alice Springs and Ayers Rocks and all of that. Neighter are we going to Darwin. Good thing though is that we're still going up the east coast all the way to Cairns.
To make a long story short, we're going to Byron bay on the second of January, then Noosa Heads. From Noosa we're going to the Australian Zoo to pay our respects to Steve Irwin and his amazing, worldfamous zoo. Definitly a must!
One thing that I am really excited about is going sailing on the Whitsunday islands. We booked a 2day, 2nights trip yesterday. Ida agreed to it even though she's scared of boats, just cuz she knows I love boating so much. I just hope she will be able to enjoy the trip as much as I will and not get seasick.
Oh I almost forgot. Before sailing we're going camping on Fraser Islands, the worlds lagest sandisland. We'll be devided into groups of 10-11 people, get a van and some tents and then off to meet our destiny. Wicked!
To "save" some money we'll be spending some time, just relaxing in Townsville and the Magnetic Islands. In Cairns it's time for a 3 day trip including the rainforest and crocodilesightseeing on the Daintree river, and ofcourse, snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef.
So that's our plans. Everything's booked and fixed. Everything from buspasses, flight back to Sydney from Cairns, hostels, daytrips and so on. Thank you Ally (infodesk on Wake Up..go there!!) Without you planning everything would have taken ages.
Mum, dad thank you so much for the Christmaspresents. Especially the candy! I will keep the Guardian angel in my bag, so that it wont get lost Hehehe...
Today we're taking it easy. No plans except going to the Swedish church here in Sydney for some traditional christmasdinner. Should be fun.
Once again, Merry Christmas to you all.
