I don't understand where all of these horrorstories about Kings Cross come from. Honestly, it's not so bad. Ok, some streets are under policesurveillance, and busdrivers warn you about thiefs when you're getting off in these areas but besides from that I never got the impression that this is a "bad place" You see alot of "odd" folks around here. Don't ask me what I mean with odd, people that you notice when you are walking along the streets let's just put it that way. But I actually like it. Maybe we are living "on the good side" of Kings Cross. A guy I talked with a while ago said that it's devided into two sides, one bad side and one good side. Might be like that who knows. Im just gratefull that it's not as bad as I thought it would be. The hostel (The original Backapackers) is also alright, rooms are ok, bathrooms too..and it's not that much partying, could be alot worse. The only thing that's really bothering me is that they don't have any lookers in the rooms. That sucks big time. So at night Im holding onto my bag for dear life!

Christmas in Australia is so not like the christmas I am use to in Sweden. To be honest Im glad it's over. Being without your family for the holidays is depressing. I think both me and Ida have been feeling a bit down these last couples of days. She's never been away from her family over Christmas and neighter have I. Well anyways, now it's over. And the food we bought at the Swedish churchthingy was not much to cheer about, 25 bucks for a plate with some meatballs and sausages. Nothing special. But still, it was nice to get some food that reminded me a bit about home.

Im tired of Sydney. We're counting the days. We're heading off to Byron on the second of January. I just wanna get back on the road and start going up the east coast. I've seen everything Sydney has to offer and now I WANNA LEAVE.

Tomorrow we're going to the cinema to watch Twillight. Yasser's been nagging on me to watch it for some time now so I will. And if it's not good I know who to blame
