Gosh, what a day, or days to be correct.
So where to begin? Last Sunday we moved from Manly (I MISS THE OCEAAAN) to Wake Up in the city center. The move went alright and we checked in around noon. Then we decided to head to Boni beach and the Bondi markets. Only trouble is that we never went that way by bus so we had no idea which bus to take or anything. And the informationdesk over at the central wasn't open...bummer. But eventually we saw a bus that were going by Bondi junction...What the hell is Bondijunction I was thinking. But anyway, it begins with Bondi so it can't be wrong, jumped on the bus, and met the most rude and unfriendly busdriver, no not just busdriver, the most rude person I ever met in my entire life. He was so unkind and unhelpfull. I simply told him that we're going to Bondibeach and Bondimarket, is this the right bus? And I asked him what Bondijunction was.... It's hard to explain but to make a long story short he practicly told me to make my mind up or jump off the freaking bus. Doesn't sound that bad but trust me it was. I was so affended I wanted to cry. NOO I didn't, but to be honest I was close. Then I thought; get a grip Emelie, don't let that loser ruin your day. I feel sorry for him honestly. I wasn't the only one that got off on the wrong side with him It seemed, cuz many people reacted over his behaviour. Maybe he should consider a differen't jobcareer if being a busdriver makes him that unhappy.
Bondi, bondi, bondi. What to say? It's big (not as big as I thought) and It didn't look anything like on Tv. But it was nice, and it's cool to have been there. We didn't swim or anyting, just walked around checking things out. But honestly it's like any other beach more or less. But the sand is beautifully white and the ocean is lovely. So I am not complaining. The markets were ok, not that cheap. But I bought a few presents, two scarfs for MYSELF, a thing for Mira and a gift for my sister Alexandra.
Yesterday we changed our travelplans quite alot (thanks to the help of a lovely lady here at the information desk at Wake Up) We are actually leaving Sydney on Friday to make a run for Port Stephens (outside of Newcastle) It's way cheaper up there and it's gonna be fun just to leave the city for a while. We're coming back to Sydney, and King Cross(dear God help me) for Christmas and New Years though. Kings Cross is... well not to scare you Mum but not that good. But I have spoken to quite a few people that have spent some time there and they say that we'll survive Hahaha.. We'll survive. Just don't go walking around alone, and do not act or look too much like tourists cuz u might get in trouble...that's what they say. Holy lord, It's writen TOURIST all over my forehead. But Im not nervous noooo quite the opposite, or not
Did the Blue mountains tour today. It was all good except for a small mishap which Im coming to later.
We descided to do a tour anyway, cuz the lady at the infodesk recommended a tour with the Happy Coach which is operated by two guys that actually grew up in the mountains, and it only cost us 60 AUS, lunch and everything included. So we figured it would be worth it cuz it cost almost as much to get up there and do it yourself anyway.
So first we went to Euroka clearing to see WILD Kangaroos, unfortunetly we only saw two, a male and a female. But atleast we saw them! That's always something. They are so darling. It's so funny to see them jump around in the wild like that. I wanted to go give them a big wet kiss, but with the risk of getting beaten by one I decided not to. They can actually punch you really hard. The guide said that if a human got into a "fight" with a kangaroo he would definitly bet his money on the kangaroo, so that says alot.
After the kangaroo sightseeing we got back on the bus and went to a lookoutpoint called Kings Tableland which gives a spectacular view of Jamison Vallley in the Blue mountains. The view was really breathtaking. You could see sooo far over the valley. I could stand there forever.
Wentworth falls is another bushwalk that we visited. The entire walk was suppose to take around 1 hour but here comes the mishap, when we had walked for like an hour and a half the end of the track was closed (we were going to contine to his mothers house for coffee at the end of the track) None of us had seen any sign that that part of the track were closed, so we had no choice but to walk all the way back again. And now I am talking BUSHWALKING in a mountain, not just plain straigh walks. It's up and down cliffs all the time, up a cliff, down into a valley, up the cliffs, down into the valley...and so on...We walked like that for 3 hours, with limited amount of water with us. Not such a good idea. But anyway, if we look at it on the bright side, now I don't have to feel so bad about the minimum exercise we get around here.
Well that was pretty much it, we had lunch at Echo Point where the 3 sisters are (huge famous cliffrocks) Im too tired to describe all of these places in detail so if anyone is interested look it up on google.
Im tired. I feel like someone just banged me in the head with a bat or something. Im not sure what Im doing at the moment. Time for bed! Ida is out walking in the harbour with the rest of the gang in our dorm. We're lucky cuz all the guys and girls seems nice (we're sharing a room with 8 other people)
Bed bed bed bed, it's calling my name... Im tired and I miss someone way too much. It's unhealthy to miss someone this much. It hurts.
