I must say that Australia is a very interesting piece of land. And the animals never stop suprising me. At our current hostel, Melaluca Surfside Backpackers there's a tame kangaroo running around called Josephine or Josey (I have even pet her but she tried to eat my hair Haha) there's wild Koalas in the trees, lots and lots of spiders and last night me and Ida got attacked by huge flying bugs in the bathroom. And yeah I almost forgot, possums lives in the roofs. Atleast I think it was a possum we saw, I never actually say the whole animal, just a tail, a little bum and it's backfeet. But Im pretty sure it was a possum. Nuts!
So we've been in Port Stephens for a couple of days now. It's very differen't from Sydney, much smaller. Not many backpackers around here either. Many Australians come here infact. There's only 5 min walking to One mile Beach from our hostel JIPPIE. It's a huge beautiful beach with lots of sanddudes, no buildings near so it's very natural. We went there yesterday but didn't stay that long cuz it was so windy and the sand was everywhere, in my eyes, ears, nose and mouth. I can still find small sandcorns hidden in my ears Haha.
And Melaluca is beautiful, quite small, personal hostel in the middle of nowhere, atleast that's what it feels like compared to Sydney. The only problems is that we have very bad connection out here so we can't send any textmessages or call anyone, except from a small spot in our tent (yes we're staying in a tent Haha) where we were lucky enough to find some connection. So if anyone of you call me and I can't answer or whatever it's cuz I can't, not that I don't want too.
Today we are gonna book a dolphintour. We are going to go look for dolphins wooho! There's alooot of dolphins around Port Stephens, I think it's bottlenosed dolphins. You can even go kayaking with them here. But Ida is not that found of kayaks so we will stick to boats.
Back to Sydney on Saturday. Time to check in at the Original backpackers in Kings Cross...Oh lord.
Cheers
