Ho everyone, ive finally left Queenstown. I packed up my life that i had created for nearly 5months and im on the move again. I had my last shift in starbucks on Sunday and a leaving party on Friday. its amasing how much stuff i collected in such a small amount of time, i had to take alot to the salvation army, send some home and throw some away. I finally managed to pack all my bag up late last night and have been on the kiwi experience bus all day today...quite a memory of last time. Of course most of the people on the bus had been in qtown only one night and made the most of it...everyone got on the bus reeking of booze (of course i had been sensible the previous night :-s) and the girl in front of my preceded to be sick for alot of the journey...was lovely. I did make it to christchurch in the end though and im back in aa hostel sharing a room with 7other.
It was very sad to say goodbye to everyone, I made some amasing friends and i shed a few tears as the bus left queenstown knowing that i would not be returning for a while! We stopped off at a gorgeous lake..Lake Pukaki...turquoise as the sky!
My last night in queenstown was spent hanging out with the stzarbucks team. I was given an award for hard work blah blah blah. looks all proper which is real cool. nice to be appreciated for everything i did there. i would love to go back now maybe at the end of august should i find a cheap enough flight.
My time in queenstown was awesome...i met sooo many people that i didnt know before and those that i happened to bump into from home. Its amasing how small this place really is. When matt rant came to stay we had lots of fun, we went lugeing and had a couple of nights out before he left to do more travelling. Ben law then arrived and we sat and had a few before he left the next day to also continue travelling. Two swedish girls i lived with left then came back, left, then came back and finally left and now their back to stay! im determined to try and stay away until ive said ill come back if i do. its a scary thought thinking that i now know noone all over again, but think of the future and im sure there will be more people to meet. im spending the next few days sorting out the rest of my time here, i now have a few friends in the north island so hopefully stay with them and try find some seasonal work, fruit picking pr something of the sort.
sorry ive bad at keeping in touch. queenstown is such a small bubble and its so easy to get carried away, before you know it its another week gone, over due for rent and wondered what youve done for the last week!
at least now ill be seeing new things all over again!
hope to ctach up with you all at some point. much love and hugs xxxxx
p.s. im well over halfway in my trip now, only approx 13weeks to go :-((.
