Today we headed back to Glasgow. We had booked a private car to pick us up from the hotel and take us to the airport at 9.30am as they said it would take 2.5 hours to get there.
So the day started with a cold shower. Then we went to have breakfast which we had booked with the hotel, the breakfast area was packed. There was no room to move so we left and asked for our money back and went across the road to a little cafe. We were the only ones in it so it was quite nice and quiet :)
Our driver picked us up a bit earlier and he speed all the way to the airport so we got there about 2.5 hours before we had to be there. We spent the day at the airport as the problem with flying domestic around the UK is that you have to be at the airport 2 hours before you have to leave because of the security checks. Not like little old NZ, only half an hour before hand which is great.
It wasn't to bad hanging out at the airport as there were lots of shops to look at and restaurants to eat at.
We arrived in Glasgow around 4pm it was freezing cold, gosh it was so cold it felt like snow.
Graham picked us up around 4.30pm once he had finished work so it was a quick change by everyone. Graham, Alison, Eddie and I caught the train into Glasgow to meet up with James and Rachel. It was a really good night out, we had something to eat. Went to a couple of pubs and an 80's bar, it was great fun.
Graham, Alison, Eddie and I said goodbye to James and Rachel which was quite sad but hope to catch up again before we leave.
We then caught the train back to Stepps where Graham and Alison live, we went for a drink at the Wee Pub which is a local pub. It was a really nice place to hang out.
Then home for a midnight snack of Chicken Kevis and off to bed.
Great night had by all with great friends!
