We had another sleep in today which was really great! Did some more washing then headed out to catch the train into Glasgow, then catch the 61 bus to Summerston which is the area that we used to live in. It felt very strange.
We wanted to catch up with our old friend Betty Bell, a lovely Scottish lady who took us under her wing as we lived only a couple of doors away from her. We found out where she was living but she wasn't home. We went into the supermarket called ASDA to get a pen and paper so we could put a note through her door to let her know we are in Glasgow.
Would you believe we ended up running into her in the supermarket, it was so funny she couldn't believe it. Was such a cool surprise for her and us, awesome to see her. She must be about 80 we think.
So we went back to her house for a while and hung out. It was really cool but you could hardly move in her house as she had so much stuff in it. It was like we had never been apart from her. She isn't very well so we are glad we could catch up with her and hope to go back next week before we leave Glasgow.
We then caught the bus into the city centre and had another pub meal, then caught the train back out to Grahams in Stepps. We then walked down to the supermarket and brought some chicken keivs for tea.
Graham and Alison cooked us tea which was really nice. Nice to have a home cooked meal. But it meant there were dishes to do afterwards. :(
Alison's mum, sister and sister's boyfriend came over for about half an hour, it was really nice to meet them. Alison then went to stay with her mum as we are going to be up at 4am in the morning to get to the airport as we are flying to London for a few days.
Eddie and Graham are about to watch a movie. I am just catching up on the blog and trying to get the photos uploaded. It is a very time consuming process so will see how we go, will be good once they are all loaded.
