Day 2 London, what can I say. Today was always gonna be a full on day like yesterday. Today we had a tour booked for Windsor Castle, Bath and Stonehenge.
After a early morning rise and quick underground ride to town (as quick as could be in london time) we made it to our pick-up point for the tour. It was a wee bit of a walk from the station but we went past Buckingham Palace which was quite cool.
We had a big bus to get on for the tour, which was full. Must of taken nearly an hour just to get out of London. Bus drivers got some balls driving through there.
First stop: Windsor Castle.
Nice place, got to go through and see the dolls house and state apartments. The queen has a comfy bed, LOL.
One thing the tour guide told us was the time to meet back at the bus and if you were not there you would get left behind (which someone did). That put the pressure on when we got trapped in one part of the castle grounds while the changing of the guards was taking place. Good to see but once we got through we had to run to the bus. Turned out we were the first ones back, LMAO. Eddie was panicking.
Second stop: Bath.
Lovely place, main reason for this stop was to see the Roman Baths. Amazing to see and the good thing about it was that it didnt take long to get around so no pressure on getting back to the bus on time or should I say first:)
Had a wee look around the shops, very tidy place.
Third stop: Stonehenge.
Didnt have a lot of time here but didnt really need it. Nothing there but some big rocks, a souvenair and food shop. We managed to do all three in just over half an hour. Still unbeleivable how they managed to move those rocks when the wheel hadn't even been invented yet, considering they came from over 200 miles away! Very impressive. A lot more impressive than the sausage roll from the food shop:(
After about 50 photos of the rocks (dont worry Chris you gonna see them all twice) we jumped back on the bus for London. Just over 2 hours later we were sitting in a little Vietnamese restaurant in chinatown London. Nice food. Had a little look around the shops, found a 4 storey shop totally devoted to M & M's. No s _ _ t!!! Only in London aye.
Had to get outa town at about this point so it was back on the tube to the hotel for a sleep. Beds not as comfy as the queens;)
