Finally, I have a chance to sit down and write. Last week had its good and its bad but I try to only remember the good for as much as I can remember... I've been so busy the days get mushed together and I can barely remember what week it is anymore.
WEEK 9- ummm my mind has so much going through its hard for me to even remember what went on last week. think. think. think.
Sunday I was off for the evening in Maui and headed to Starbucks, the Starbucks I am currently sitting in and ironically at the same exact table and chair. That day I came of the ship to get some fresh air and finish writing my postcards to send out before Christmas. Near the end of the evening I didn't feel up to do anything else and by the time I was ready to head back to the ship it was pouring rain. While walking in the rain I ended up calling my dear friend Steph because I was having a terrible night and she was kind enough to listen, like I always say, she is an incredible friend and I can't thank her enough for always listening to all my heartache. I returned to my cabin and had a chance to Facetime her from my cabin! and chatted with my mom and a couple friends on facebook which is pretty awesome and I can't wait to call my family Christmas morning from my cabin!:D
Monday was super busy for me in the salon and my boss marked me out for a two hour lunch but the hair appointment I had prior took longer than I anticipated and I ended up with just an hour. In that hour I ran to the post office to send my family their Christmas gifts and my friends postcards since that was the only time I could. I rushed back to the ship and ran up the stairs from deck 2 all the way to deck 12 because I was going to be late for my next nail appointment and the elevators arent the fastest when you're in a hurry. Luckliy I made it just in time. It was such a relief getting everything sent out.
Tuesday I honestly don't remember I'm pretty sure I just worked all day.
Wednesday I had the pleasure of cutting the Captain's hair first thing in the morning! In the evening I had a terrible time with a guest and learned that sadly I can't make everyone happy, which is tough on me because I came on the ship wanting to be everyone's favorite. My night ended well because I got one of the cooks to make me a grilled cheese, I know that sounds lame but I get so tired of the food on board and I was so happy to get some grilled cheese and tomato bisque! its funny how such things could cheer me up so much.
Thursday was our Spa Team's Christmas Pajama Party! Thursdays we stay over night in Kauai so we rented a condo at the Marriot Lagoon, wore our Pj's watched Elf and played a couple games and had a goodtime. Myself and a few other girls didnt stay the night at the condo because we had to work in the morning.
Friday was a long long day at work thats all, I was there from about 9:30am-10pm
Saturday is when I usually go to starbucks in Honolulu to blog but I had to go shopping for my secret santa. Funny thing was I ended up going to the ala moana mall with my secret santa so I left her for a while to go shop for her and facetime my Big brother for his 30th Birthday! I got back to the ship and I received my packages from my family!! My parents sent my stocking and my sister inlaw sent me a gift which I'm not opening either till christmas and my big sister sent me a couple books for my roomie and myself to read which we're super stoked about! and she made me a wreath to put on my door, I hung that and the ornament my grandma sent me:] so cute! The rest of the night I had back to back appointments till 11pm and my last guest was this 16yr old girl named Jenny, from Canada and she asked me all about how my prom was back in high school for me because they dont have anything like prom in Canada and I went to prom 5 times, she was in awe asked me what my dresses looked like and how I wore my hair and what not, she wishes she could go to a prom so bad.
Today is Sunday and I worked worked worked straight from 8am-3pm and I am drained! I didn't get much sleep because I stayed up late reading that book my sister sent me, it's hard for me to even find time to read. My family and cousins are all at my Grandma's today and I tried to make some time to facetime them but the wifi connection wasn't the greatest. I really wish I was home to celebrate christmas and eat some tamales! I never realized all the traditions we have for the holidays but we have quite a few and I'm missing out!
Tonight we have our crew's Christmas show that the performers put together just for the crew and the Spa team voulenteered to serve drinks and I am so tired I really don't want to go but I can't say no and I'd really like to see the show. It'll be fun to hear some Christmas music, I get excited about Christmas music and the girls laugh at me, I really wish they played Christmas music in the salon that would make my days much brighter.
Well Friends just two more sleeps till Christmas!! and I hope you all have a wonderful one! It's not the same being away from home but i'll try to make the most of it... in Hawaii.
Just 90 Days till Dry Dock!!!
MELE KALIKIMAKA!<3
