Today once again it was a relaxing day in Alice Springs. Everyone planned to go into town to go shopping. For breakfast we all had either toast or cereal again. Melanie and Joanna relaxed whilst Sharon and Tanya went into town for groceries and Neil and Terry were off getting parts for Neil's car. Melanie and Joanna stayed in their pyjamas until lunch time. Which was nice for a change. For lunch Tanya and Sharon brought roast chicken and rolls. Before that we had been having sandwiches and wraps. So we were all happy to have rolls. After lunch us girls went straight to the pools. We all had a swim and tanned for a while, until it was time for Tanya and Sharon to get dinner organised. Neil and Terry came back from town and Neil had to spend $1200 for a new aerial for his HF radio, because his own one was faulty and Barrett, who make the radio did not have a change over offered. Neil sent his aerial off to Perth via air freight and will pick it up when we go through Perth in about 2 months time. For dinner we had Tanya’s Nan’s macaroni that had meat and gravy in it. At first Melanie andJoanna thought it would we disgusting, but it was different compared to what we are used to. We both actually liked it. Today we decided we are staying an extra night in Alice Springs, then travelling over 1000kms to Mataranka, which is famous for their Thermal Springs.
