Day 5 - Woke to another fine day. After brekky we drove closer to the famous St Andrews golf course and went for a walk to the club house. There are about 5 courses that start at the club house and go off in different directions. There were lots of people on the courses when we got there at about 9am. They play about 44,000 rounds on these courses annually. We met a couple of guys from Sydney staying in the same B&B that came over (with their clubs) just to play hereIt took them 9 months on the waiting list for a game. People play till about 10pm. From there it was off to the other end of town to the relics of St Andrews cathedral. The ruins of the church, its outlying buildings and graveyard covered many acres. Graves dated back to 1770 that we found. Carmel loves exploring graves. Had a wander through the town, (which isn't all that big) before heading for Dundee and on to Aberdeen. Both big and busy city. We got to our final stop at Inverness around 6pm. Got a very nice room in the Best Western hotel overlooking the Ness River with the Inverness Castle on the hill directly opposite. Dinner and a couple of pints of Tennent Lager at the John MacNab tavern next door was a great way to end the day.

Denise Carey Hi Carmel and David, sounds like it is all going well. I am really envious especially as the weather is awful here just now. Stay well and safe Denise
