My Trip
Hello one and all.So what has happened in Sydney since I last wrote, well I am still working at the National Breast Cancer Foundation and will be until my departure which is Sunday the 12th (heading for Melbourne stopping on route). Really enjoy it, although occasionally it can be quite tedious, especially data entry! All good though, I have made some really nice friends here, Kate, Renee, Emma, Jan, Lissanne, Terri, Dana and Brennan to name a few, and at least I am doing something worthwhile.Helped out at an event a while back, a Star Walk to the Opera House, which was cool. I got beaten up by one of the girls daughters, a little 10 year old called Ellen - really cute! Also they treated me to an Opera at the Opera House! So good… never thought Opera would be my thing, but I found myself transfixed by their voices, extremely interesting and very cultured! Anyhow enough of work!Ooooh I saw a ghost in our house, no s*** seriously a ghost of a young blonde girl who faded head to foot after a couple of seconds! So freaky…I have started to date one of my friends, who I have lived with for ages, Katie, and things are going really well. She leaves for New Zealand in a couple of days which is gonna suck! But hopefully we will see one another again when I get home. She’s wicked fun, sarcastic, pretty little country girl who just makes me laugh and laugh. The Fridge is all change, with Dell, Katie, Jen, Liza, Loran, Barry and Christine all leaving or gone, its only me left from the original crew, but I have Jules and Kim, along with fantastic new couple from Rotherham who I really like, Dan and Sharon! Some new girls have just moved in too who seem nice, so the times are changing.OOOOh we went to Neighbours night last night, saw Boyd? Lynn Scully (who Dan wrote a comment to from me, asking if she wanted a snog!!! And they read it out!!! So funny, I had to stand up and declare my love for Lyn Scully – classic!) And Alf from Home and Away – LEGEND! I am going to Ramsey Street when I hit Melbourne...I will find Karl Kennedy! Was a really fun stupid night, Katie and Chrissy loved it. Chrissy won a free cruise around the Whitsunday’s.
We were also privy to an evacuation of Bondi Beach as sharks were spotted in the water – exciting stuff! This was after we did the Coogee to Bondi walk in the baking heat, an exciting day...(so many gorgeous beaches along that path).
Feels really weird in the house without Liza, she was like my surrogate sister, since I met her on day one in Sydney! But hey! We sent her off in Style with a Halloween Party, Jules dressed up as a Monk – Hilarious! Dan and I went as Football hooligans (lame but free!).Been watching a lot of Films, trying to save money – World Trade Centre was really good! The Departed (new Scorsese flick) was good! And Green Street Hooligans – Awesome movie – Just some tips.Feeling a bit funny about not being home for Christmas, but hey I’ll be on a plane! Wooohooo! Perth to Sydney on Christmas day….! Dan said we would spend Boxing Day on the Beach though with a BBQ so not all bad.And what is going on with all of these Engagements/Marriages people! Since I have been away there have now been a total of 8!!! Shocking! Big Congratulations to all though, especially Matt C! We are going to have one hell of a send off there my friend!Ok well, I am off for dinner with Miss Callery, heading to Darling Harbour – POSH! I think I may have the fish.. I hope you are all well and let me know how you all are. P.s. Because of Daylight savings, I am now 11 hours in front of anyone in England….just for your information! Dave- comments
