My Trip
So you have my first few days that were really cool, Claudia and Liza flew to Melbourne to say goodbye and I was set to find some more people to hang out with.
However I was feeling very very unmotivated and the hangover from Hell kept me in bed until 7pm the next day. When a lady entered the room, wet hair and everything. Didn't realise it then but it was about to start the 3 best days in Sydney I have had.
Her name is Steph and she's an English girl, we just got chatting and it all went from there. I knew I needed to get off my arse and still not finishing the Di Vinci Code we went for some food down Side bar. We just chatted and chatted for hours...she had just finished travelling the East Coast and had some great stories.... That night was awesome we just sat chatting, then hustled everyone at pool...she can play! And danced the night away. Funniest thing was her doing the Macarana...classic moment and so funny.
We had a great night, which was followed the next day by a trip to Manly, a district of Sydney accessible by a ferry from Circular Quay. This was really fun, we ate and drank walked the beach, and generally just chatted by the beach for hours, seeing the sunset on the ride back. So cool! Manly is gorgeous, a real quaint town reminds me of Park City in Utah so much. Cafes and Bars cool little shops everywhere and the beach is gorgeous...although I have yet to swim yet.
The Ferry ride itself is worth the money alone, with fantastic views of the city from numerous angles. And although we missed our ferry home we sat by the harbour and watched the world go by, it was really cool and the harbour was gorgeous. Steph is simply fantastic, she's had her share of bad luck in Australia with the weather mainly but lucky she found me really! heehee just playing.
That night we met an Irish guy and Canadian girl Carley in our room who were extremely funny...the guy went danced around the room naked just for a laugh and believe me when I say it was amusing. He was a real joker, but a good guy also.
Steph Unfortunately was due to leave the day after next which was really hard since we spent so much time together...She was heading to Bali and then Singapore and Home...wish she could've stayed but that's travelling I'm told.
So our final day we went to Darling Harbour, and just chilled there.
Darling Harbour is also really pretty, with a bay in front of the harbour called Cockle bay you can just chill there all day, really picturesque. They have some really nice bars and restaurants there also, which we indulged in a couple of glasses of wine.
I really do miss her now, but we are still in contact. Sydney was defined in my eyes by these first However I look had some really good times with Liza, Eoin, Fin, CB, and my new house mates... new adventures dawning.... And we have a lot more stories to come.... Including the Matt and Clare show x 2
