My Trip
There is nothing like meeting up with old friends. This time around I wouldn't say old but new and great friends.
Yes the Matt and Clare Show hit town two weeks back.
Matt and Clare are a couple that we travelled with in China. Really great guys from the UK (see the China Tour journal). Visiting Sydney for something like 11 days.
Was really excited to see them, its great to have visitors! They look as happy as ever and for the time they were here, I never had a smile off my face.
We met up in Sidebar (the local) and had a great night. They were staying in King Cross, which is a suburb of Sydney renowned for the red light district and a lot of tourists. I had moved dorm rooms at the time, and was staying with a Danish Girl called Henry, two Danish guys Lars and Casper, Two English guys Dan and Simon, the legend that is Sebastian, the German guy from the previous dorm. They all came out with Liza, Fin, Eoin and I
Introductions
Sebastian - nicknamed CB, was one of my first friends that Steph and I met, apart from one another. He was a really quiet guy who we later found out was just hiding his inner brilliance. We started really chilling together when Steph left, and I was a bit lonely. Although his English is not fluent he made a real effort and is a great character. He had a Thai Girl who was absolutely gorgeous...and was debating giving it all up for her...arhhhh love! Obviously she was still in Thailand, so we tried to soften the blow a little by getting him recked and watching the German moves...He's gone as well now to New Zealand, but was a good friend. Miss ya
Eoin I met some random night in town and he had moved into Liza dorm room. 19...but he doesn't look or act 19, we just started chatting and found out he was staying inSydney for a while also. Since he is now my kebab partner...oh my god kebabs are so great over here, really nice! Mr Rice - eat your heart out! My drinking partner and pool playing partner. Believe me its nice to have some male company (however gay that sounds). He is a real nice guy though, and hopefully Julian and I will be travelling up the East Coast with him later in the year.
Yes it is official the most chilled out guy in the world...Julian from Colorado is coming out and staying for a while...arrival imminent. I can't wait!
Henry...is a Danish barmaid who I got on with very well.... Always good to have a barmaid friend! A crazy arse girl, who is always up for a party, I did have a really good time with her in Bondi, which I will write about also later.
Honestly apart from my housemates that's the only people worth mentioning.
Funny a great girl once said to me....
"When your travelling you meet so many people, some come, some go, but if your lucky a couple will make that lasting impression and leave a smile on your face, people you'll never forget, people that mean something"
Anyhow the night went on we played pool, and well drank. Was really good to see Matt and Clare and yet again they didn't disappoint. Clare was drinking white wine by the half-pint, and got very drunk and the dancing...oh the dancing was fantastic! Some quality moves that Eoin and I could only try and fail to replicate! I'm not sure how to describe this night but it was one of my best since Steph left. Just a really good group with a good atmosphere, and brilliant Clare dancing!
Sydney is so much fun it's ridiculous.
