Study Abroad
Hey all,
Today we went to the Globe Theatre. We had a guided tour. Our tour guide was an actor/director. He was a good guide and he was funny. This is not the original globe as the original burnt down...much like everything else in London it seems.
We went to Tate Modern Museum next...it was a good thing we didn't have to pay for it becuase we didn't really enjoy it. Modern art is not our thing. Painting a canvas red and calling it art baffles us. The exhibit our teacher wanted us to see was closed. One of the exhibits was a clear box with a stereo system in it and all it played was farting noises...apparently that's art now. We were not in the museum very long.
We went to eat at pizza express. It was really good. We both had pizza and then we shared a chocolate cake/ice cream dessert. After dinner we walked around a bit to kill some time.
We went to a performance at the Globe Theatre called A Comedy Of Errors. It was really funny. It is about 2 sets of estranged twin brothers who have the same names and what happens when they end up in the same town. Our tickets were for in front of the stage where you had to stand the whole time. They were free from the foundation house where we have class. It was really fun to see a performance at the globe....even though we had to stand for 3 hours.
Love,
Craig and Audrey
