Study Abroad
Hey all,
Today we went on a bus trip to Stonehenge and Bath. We stopped at Stonehenge first. It was pretty cool. We got audio guides that told us all about the site and all the theories as to what it is and how it got there. It was amuzing to here all the different theories.
We went to Bath next. Bath is filled with wonderful architecture. We went on a 20 minute bust tour around the area first and got to see most of bath. They then took us to the Roman Baths. It was really pretty. We got to try some of the water...after it had been treated of course...it was not very good but supposedly has healing powers...we'll see :) It was ver interesting to hear about all of the history and see all the old artifacts. We ate at a place called Sally Lunn's. It is the oldes house in bath dating back to 1482. I had a Sally Lunn Bunn and tea. It was really good. We had about an hour to walk around Bath before we had to leave.
The whole trip only cost us 39 pounds...which I didn't find to be to bad because a train ticket to Bath one way is 31 pounds. It paid for admission to Stonehenge...even though it was free to get into today for some reason and then it also paid for our admission to the Roman Baths. It was definantly a good deal...a lot cheaper than if we would have just gone on our own.
I think we are just going to hang around at the house tonight...we are tired from our trip.
Love
Craig and Audrey
