Off to Cape Leveque, the road is bitumen for the first 30km or so then gravel & sand for the next 80 km then back to bitumen for the last 100km or so.
We called into Beagle Bay Aboriginal Community & checked out the Sacred Heart Church (we were told it was worth a look) it really was quiet amazing
The alter was made from pearl shells, there was mother of pearl inlaid around the windows & even on the floor.
The Church was built by the Missionaries in the early 1900's & is still used today. Three Aboriginal girls came into the Church while we were in there & they sang some songs for us, they were really good so we gave them $5, they were very grateful & well mannered.
