We left Midura for Broken Hill, we arrived late afternoon & set up camp at the Broken Hill Racecourse there were several other vans there, we found a great spot on the grass with power but water was only available from the tanks around the back which was fine as we can hold up to 4 days in our CV tanks, the cost was $25 per night, great price!
We then had a quick drive around town then settled down for the night.
Next morning we drove out to Silverton, a magnificent old town, lots of history, great old restored buildings A lot of resident artists live here, we had lunch & nice cold Coopers at the Pub, we also checked out the Mad Max museum which was worth a look.
On our way back to Broken Hill we saw some Donkeys not far from the road, I stopped to get a photo when what I thought were wild Donkeys came right up to the car & stuck their heads through the window, it was hilarious, Thomas fed them some almonds & raisins & they ate right out of his hand.
The next day we went to the lookout in the middle of town (the Line of Load) and checked out the Miners Memorial, it was very interesting, we then did a tour of the Royal Flying Doctors Service at the Airport & then out to the Pinnacles lookout.
The next morning Wednesday 24th June we went & did some shopping before heading off, at around 4.00pm we pulled up for the night at a free camp on the east side of Peterborough.
