OK, so this is my first blog, so i'm pretty sure it's not going to be that great for a while, being the technophobe that I am. Last year when au pairing I wrote everything on Word documents but apparently this seems to be an easier way of sharing my experience.
I've been in Montpellier for 2 weeks (tomorrow) and it's a very easy city to get to know. The lessons will no doubt turn out to be hideous, but at least up until now it's been pretty good fun (bureaucracy aside).
We went to a flea market today, which I was reliably informed by the internet is one of the top 10 in France. Well, all I can say to that is poor France. It was effectively a giant car boot sale with bits of pipe, computer keyboards and old worn clothes for sale. Not meaning to sound snobby, but it seemed like the sort of place you go when you have no money, not a tourist trap.
Oh well, at least i've got my first full day of lectures to cheer me up tomorrow...
