All packed & ready to head off to stay with Teta Barica (dad's sister) and her family for a while.

Before we move on we need to say a few goodbyes. Dad's younger sister (teta Jelka) & her family were finishing of their vine pruning - so we helped. A few drinks later we said our goodbyes for this trip & headed off back down the hill to have a final lunch with Biserka & Co. A few tears later we were on our way.

We were greeted with heartfelt joy when we arrived at Teta Barica's. Her son (Josip), daughter-in-law (Josipa) and grandson (Dražen) live together in a modest but comfortable home in the hills of Zagorje. They are fairly poor but enjoy life & live well off their plentiful veggie patch, chickens, eggs, home grown pork & turkeys.

Unfortunately, Sanja, their daughter was at the beach in Istria with a friend.

Today we got to know Dražen much better, last time he was only home for a short while. He has a dry but wicked sense of humour. Better still he understands English so John gets to have a chat with me doing only the odd bit of translating.

We are both looking forward to spending more time here so we can get to know Barica's family better.
