Finka (cousin & sister of Cvita) invited Rođo & Mato (my cousins & her brothers) & Mato's wife Ljubica; Milorad and us to lunch. On the menu was fish paprikaš and fried fish with salads.

Finka's husband Antal makes a mean paprikaš in a pot over hot coals. The pot is a kotlič. He also made a lovely hot & spicy paste for us to add to the paprika because we like chillies.

When we got there the fish paprikaš was bubbling in the kotlič & Finka was frying the fish. Here carp is the fish they all eat & enjoy, so it was in the paprika along with smuđ & som, two highly prized fish, both caught by Antal. It's almost funny to think that he had to buy the carp as it is hard to catch.

We ate lunch heartily and enjoyed the company of my relatives & Antal's older brother & wife who have family in Sydney.

When we headed off we were given some food to take home for Cvita as she couldn't join us because she had to care for the grand-children.
