Hi!
We're just going to bed now, we've got a really early start tomorrow for our flight to Samoa. Yesterday on the boat was awesome and definitely a highlight of our trip so far!
It was a 42ft yacht owned by a really nice and very well-off couple! We motored to a nearby island, Kawau, and Glennis took us for a walk through the bush which was lovely and we saw a close relation to the Kiwi bird, think it's called a wacker or something, couldn't quite decipher through the accent! Picnic lunch on the boat including some local Figo fruit, only found in NZ, and looking at the beautiful clear blue sea. Then we raised the sails and went around some more islands, there's so many, the scenery was like paradise! While we were sailing the boat was at about 45 degree angle to the water and I decided to go below deck which was a very bad decision on choppy waters and when the boat was swaying so much. So I was sick off the side of the boat shortly after!
We had a nice lazy day on the beach today. Hope all of this doesn't make you too jealous!

Mum It sounds fantastic, it really will be the trip of a lifetime and what a super picture of the two of you. Lots of love.
MumJ fantastic- glad the sun came out and you enkjoyed the sailing. Was worried jenny would be sick, but doesnt sound like it spoilt it too much. At least neither of you fell overboard!! Wish we were there! love Mum xxx
Grandad Delighted to hear that you are enjoying yourselves. Did you swim off Kawau Island? and see the little blue penguins? A beautiful place. See if you can get Mervyn to get his Skype phone or PC working. Love from us both, Grandad and Sheila.
The Chestrians Did you see any wallabies on Kawau? The place is crawling with them. All I can remember of feijoas is that they are an acquired taste! Enjoy Samoa - AND DO GO DIVING :D (Disney put their clown fish on steroids it would seem!)
