Hello!

We're loving New Zealnd so far! It's a bit like home but warmer, the scenery is pretty everywhere and everyone's really friendly!

I was surprised when we arrived how huge Mervyn's house is, the living area is very spacious. Yesterday morning we walked down to the beach, which is about a 10 minute walk from Mervyn's house and is very nice! Haven't managed to get in the sea yet but we hopefully will do soon!

We've driven around the local area's and seen the towns which are cute. Today we went to the Kauri (big, old trees) muesem to learn about the trees which were massive. Tonight we had dinner at the Yacht club which was very nice, don't worry it wasn't too posh, they were quite happy to accept us in t-shirt and shorts! Hopefully if the weather is ok, one of Mervyn's friends will take us out on their boat on Sunday or Monday.

It's raining at the minute :( It seems to be sunny in the morning and then all cloudy in the afternoon, but it's still warm so we're coping!

Tomorrow's plan was to go into Auckland but it will depend on the weather.
