Day 4 - Beware of the dog (day 3 after start on site)
After travelling to site, both teams assembled and commenced the blockwork challenge against the local GGA build team. It was a furiously competitive battle of wills, skill and endeavour. Simone chanting "dig a hole; dig a hole" was irrelevant to our blockwork progress but very humorous and drove us on.
In the end Brookfield team stood united; five further courses onwards from the day before. The sun was shy again today, but working within the traversing clouds kept it at a productive temperature.
Nevertheless, the professionals (who had recruited for the build-off) won by a gnat's hair by COB.
While packing up, Phil was busy tormenting local puppies smaller than the size of his boot, and chased one from the adjacent sand pit. However, moments later he was seen galloping down the road in the opposite direction followed by two angry parent dogs with puppies in tail. The whole team was in hysterics at the scenario. Squealing was heard, but reported from an unconfirmed source (voted laugh of the day).
After chicken curry, and beverages were consumed back at the ranch; a merry evening had by all. DJ Manley kept the vibe rockin’. Another early start tomorrow.
