me, lee, tina and eddy decided to get up early and go on the free walking tour of the city, we were a bit late but still managed to get on it!! they basically walked us round the centre, pointing out places on maps that we should go and see or do. very useful, and we all decided to go on a road trip in eddys car up to mount lofty for a bbq! we were joined by Will, a new roomie!

stopped at coles (ozzy supermarket) and picked up burgers, chicken, sausages, potato salad and green salad, and headed off in the car.

Our first stop was Hahndorf, a small German village in the adelaide hills, which was quite cute. i bought i salami made out of kangaroo!! after a quick wander round we got back in the car and went up to the summit of mount lofty, where we saw pretty spectacular views of adelaide. unfortunately it wasnt the clearest day, but we could still see pretty far!! there were no public bbqs up there so we went to the my lofty botanical gardens, which is basically a load of trees with badly positioned sprinklers, we all got soaked!!

went to Stirling, a little town (incidentally, the home of the girl who got murdered this weeK) which had a public bbq in the park!! me and tina were well looked after, the boys did the bbq and cleared up afterwards!! get in!

we wanted to catch the sunset at glenelg as it sets over the sea, so raced back, dumped the stuff and washed up plates etc, then headed down to the beach, but we fannied around too much and just missed it!! that didnt spoil our fun though, we all changed into swimstuff and ran into the sea, which was surprisingly warm!! played volleyball in the sea until it was too dark, then dried off (or shook in me and eddys case as we forgot our towels) and had a drink in a beachside bar. really lovely night! someone told me the next day that its at night that the sharks come into the beaches to feed!!! not helpful!
