We leave Munich behind - I am looking forward to coming back again during Oktoberfest, and hit the road, we are headed for Vienna, so it's back into Austria. It is a long day on the bus, it is also very hot when we get to Vienna, it's still 36 degrees at 3.30 in the afternoon - I am melting. As we drive into town we see what used to be the Summer residence for the Royal family - it is about 35mins from their winter residence!

We head to the Old Vienna Schnapps museum and get to see a behind the scenes look at the production of schnapps and Austrian liqueurs. We even get to have a taste of the finished products and can buy a bottle of three if so desired. This particular distillery is family run and has been for over 5 generations, with each head of the house hold, keeping the secret to the recipe - here we see the usual peach schnapps to ones made with gold, to the popular drink in Austria - Absinth (deadly is an understatement & with quite an interesting history. After a schnapps or two we head to our hotel for the evening, rest, relax & recouporate.
