Guten Tag from Bavaria.
Well the reason we came back to Germany was for Oktoberfest, and it was good, not as good as 3 years ago, must be getting old. The beer has gotten more expensive, and we were there too late in the day to get into the best tents. So we went to Lowenbrau, which was a bit calmer, and ended up sitting with some Italian soccer players and some German schoolboys, who had left an excursion early to come. They're allowed to drink beer and wine from age 16. After that, we had fairy floss, caramel bananas and gingerbread.
We also saw Schloss Nymphenburg, which is a pretty big castle with a massive garden/grounds in Munich city.
Next we headed to Berchtesgaden, where we hoped to go to Hitlers hideout, at Eagles Nest, but couldn't because there was too much snow. So we went to "Dokumentation" with our Canadian mate Anthony, where we explored a massive bunker created by the Nazis.
Our last full day in Germany was beautiful weather but we spent part of it on a train to Regensburg, where we had a look around the medieaval town that was not damaged in the war.
Next day we caught the train to the airport, then flew to Athens, Greece.
