Got up at 11, got ready and went for some breakfast! Spent 2 hours looking for a bus to Batu Caves thats 'easy to find'. What a load of rubbish! Asked about 3629 people who all said different things!
We finally got on the bus and paid 1 ringgit (20p) from China Town to KL Sentral which took 15 minutes. Then paid 2 ringgits (40p) for a return on the train to Batu Caves. The train takes 15 minutes each way! It's so cheap!
Arrived at the caves at 3, they were worth the two days of trying to find them. You have to climb 272 steps (I didn't count they are numbered) to get to the entrance of the caves set in a limestone mountain. Michael collapsed halfway up! Haha at the bottom of the steps is a huge golden Hindu shine of Lord Murugan, the Hindu god of war.
There are hundreds of wild monkeys here! You have to watch your belongings as they steal from you! Maybe they have a stall somewhere? Or a pimp monkey they give it to!
When we reached the top the view was absolutely amazing! Could see the whole of Kuala Lumpur! Loved it, did a few Tyra poses then walked around the cave! It's huge! As its religious they played Hindu music. It came out of a singing and dancing light up cat? This is Asia!
Saw a witch broom lying around and decided I would make good use of it and fly around the cave! Didn't get very far though but entertained a few people!
Got to the very top of the cave, the caves are big and open so you don't need a torch and they have electricity. There was hundreds of monkeys upstairs as well! We got lots of pictures of them! Both of our phones are running out of storage because of the amount of photos we take! I have 3500 pictures on my phone! We can't back them up either so if we loose them, they are gone!
Walked a quarter of the way back down the steps and stopped at 'Dark Caves'.
It cost 35 ringgits (£7) for a guided tour. We had to sign the book to say we entered the caves and I signed for both of us, 'Annie Jenkins' and 'gay boy'. Haha Michael wasn't impressed!
It has a two kilometre walkway and 5 different chambers. It has so many insects living inside! There are 3 different types of bats as well. If one bat even thinks about flapping near me, heads will role.
Inside there was a bat poo pit that's 2 metres deep! There is also a trap door spider that gets the dust and sticks it together and gets its prey to chase it inside then it closes the door on them!! Don't mess!
10 minutes into the 45 minutes tour, a bat pooped on Michael! I swear, I have never heard someone scream that loud! It was one of the funniest moments o my life! The tour guide came running up as she probably thought he had broken a bone, she told him it was good luck!
Half way around the guide stopped us and told us to turn all of or torches off. It was pitch black! Michael grabbed me and I thought it was some sort of creature of the deep and screamed! I think everyone else on the tour hated us!
Left the cave and we chatted to the your guide for a bit! She was lovely!
Walked back to the train station and boarded! We sat in the 'ladies coach' but didn't realise till we got off! Got some very weird looks! I reckon Michael could pass for a girl though?
Got on the mono rail from KL Sentral to Central Market for 1 ringgit (20p) and it took 10 minute! Never been on a monorail before! I expected more. We had to stand!
Had tea at the food court in the China Town market, noodle soup and iced coffee! We always forget we shouldn't have coffee late as coffee here is mega strong! We were up till 3am. Oops!
