Went down to buy a discount ticket for the KL Tower as we want to visit it today. Bought it and the guy told us it's best to wait around until 6 or 7 to go as you can see Kuala Lumpur in the daylight and the dark! It was a good idea but waiting around was a pain. All we ever do it wait around!
We had to wait 6.5 actual exact hours!! Went to go have lunch. It is always sunny in the morning here and raining in the afternoon, right on time at 2 it started chucking it down so we had to run home! Asian rain is nothing like British rain so you should all stop complaining!!! Chilled in the room all day.
At just after 6 we got a 15 minute taxi from China Town to the KL tower for 15 ringgits (£3) so quite expensive! This is Malaysia!!
We got there at 6.30, got told by security that there is no time limit on how long you stay at the top for so we said we would see him tomorrow! He looked scared. We stayed for 2 hours, most people stay for half an hour but we got real Tyra about life and the time flied!
Paparazzi cornered us just before we went up the tower and we saw a preview of the picture and took a picture with our phones of it! I arnt paying more for this I'm a traveller not a tourist!
The lift takes 58 seconds to get to the viewing area which is 300 meters in the sky, I counted 54 seconds though, does this mean I get my money back?
We definately got our money's worth! We saw Kuala Lumpur in the daytime and night which were both beautiful! The city is huge and has so many tall buildings it's crazy! Makes you feel like an ant especially when walking around, your neck hurts from looking up all the time!!
Went to get the lift back down, there is staff stood at every lift to press the buttons for you. We told him we wanted to go back to the ground floor. The lift malfunctioned. Just our luck! We went to the bottom, it didnt open, then we soared straight to the top level at 400 meters, another guy pressed ground floor for us so we went back down, it didn't open again and went up and opened on the viewing area again. By this point me and Michael ran out of the lift and puked all over the lift attendant. Seriously felt so sick!
They then made that lift out of order so we had to cram in a lift with 639 other people. All I could think was I will vom on one of you soon.
When we left we walked to the Patronas Towers to see if we could book a ticket to walk across the bridge tomorrow but it ticket office was closed! This is the third or forth time we have been here trying to cross the bridge! Joke.
Got a taxi home and ate in the courtyard in China Town! They love us here now! It's all different kinds of food stalls in a big square building. They all serve food and there is only one drinks stall that come to you when your sat down. There is one woman that's a right laugh, we call her Juanita! I'm not sure she would appreciate this though.
