It's been just over a week since we arrived in New Zealand. Today is the first we saw rain. The two days we are in Paihia, which is a holiday place on the beach, are the two days we get rain. Just my luck. So today was very long. Most of the time Kristy & I sat inside reading and watching movies.

Ajah, the canadian girl that was staying with us checked out at 10am, but didn't leave until 2.45pm came and hung out with us. We were told there was free wi-fi at the library so we headed on down there, this was before the rain. The free wi-fi was only to be used OUTSIDE, which was useless as it was starting to rain at that point and the computers would get wet. I went in to ask if we could bring our laptops inside, but she just refused. Not very nice really.. Ajah's laptop would work across the street, but Kristy & I decided to go for a walk around the town. So it wasn't a very long walk.

It was really starting to rain, so we all decided to get lunch in town and wait for the rain to die down. After trying to figure out what I wanted for lunch, I decided on a BLT with chips at a cafe. It came out with cold, nacho type corn chips with grated cheese on top. Not what I was expecting. The BLT was meh too. But it passed time.

Even after we had finished with lunch, it was still pouring down rain. Kristy & I bought ponchos, while Ajah just laughed at us! When we got home, I were fairly dry appart from my feet! But I had a nice hot shower & washed my hair, so I felt heaps better.

Just a quiet night in now, and it looks the same for tomorrow, so I might not blog for a day :)
