Woke to a clear blue sky and the temperature climbing into the early 20's.
Our plan today was to join a catamaran trip out beyond the Knysna Heads into the Indian Ocean. So we walked to the waterfront, had breakfast outdoors, again. Tough job...etc.
Then we joined the Heads Explorer - 50 foot catamaran - which sailed us out, in a stiff breeze, towards the Heads - a narrow channel opening on to an Indian Ocean with something of a 2 metre swell. Did I mention the bar on board?
There were only five of us on the trip - talk about personal service:-))
As we moved through the strait the skipper insisted we all wear life jackets - of the 350 larger vessels that had made this journey 78 were wrecked! To the point that Lloyds of London will no longer insure shipping to pass through.
Out on the open ocean the sails were unfurled and we were away - the skipper suggested we go up front and sit on the bow of one the hulls - I jumped at the chance and before long was sitting way out front as the boat crashed through the swell.
Returning to dry land we opened a bottle of bubbles at a nearby restaurant and relaxed still further.
That evening Kate reminded me of a conversation we'd had in The Sycamore with Jackie & Glen about a photograph she'd promised them - the result is today's piccie - a glorious evening with perfect light conditions for some great photography.
