Kate & Alan Richmond's Travels
Following yet another delicious breakfast in the blazing heat of Stellenbosch we packed up and left for Hermanus. This is on the south coast and renowned for its whale-watching. Unfortunately, not at this time of year - they are a winter visitor - South Africa's winter, not ours.
Our overnight stay here is to break the journey at a beautiful spot and make it less of a drive to Knysna, further east.
Well we've hit the jackpot again - stunning guesthouse right on the coast which would easily allow you to sit in bed and watch frolicking Right Whales in the sea mere yards away.

Jane Hello You Two! Fabulous reading your Blog - thanks for doing it! Sounds fantastic so far but only a very short time in the Stellenbosch wine area? You lost your taste for wine (ha ha) or still prefer French?! Take care, enjoy and "Carry On Blogging!" Much Love Jane and Graham xx PS We've booked a holiday too - will tell you where when you get home.
Dave richo I can def vouch for the Indian ocean- the whales we saw were impressive but it sounds like so far u have had plenty of amazing experiences already!
