We headed off to Smithton first becasue Stanley doesn't have fuel and the old service station at the highway is closed down. Some of us started the day with a beautiful walk at Fernglade reserve and saw some Platypus in the wild. Others visted the Makers of Burnie at the Tourist Centre - a really beautiful centre with quality goods. A free day for travellers to adventure the area. Wynyard was an area of interest for more than one reason. We had a group that enjoyed 9 holes of golf, and some that enjoyed the Wonders of Wynyard veteran car display, and many of the second hand shops in the area. Early risers headed out for a walk in the mist. Much warmer than it has been. Leaving the accommodation we finally saw Mt Roland, which was very spectacular with some mist and sunshine. Quite rainy and cool today. We are only about 60 km from Cradle Mountain so must be experiencing some of their weather. A variety of activities were undertaken. Sheffield is quite a quirky little place with all it's murals, shops and coffee shops.
