There was an amazing thunderstorm in the night with quite a fall of rain. We met down on the wharf for the Lady Franklin II Gordon River Cruise. We all caught up at the Regatta Point train station to catch the wilderness train to Queenstown and back. Some drove and some walked and we were all there ready to go at 7.45. We are here for three nights and it is in a very quiet secluded spot. Everyone left Cradle Mountain at different times. Some visited the Cradle Mountain photography gallery, the National Parks Interpretation centre - where there were some early 1900 photos of the early residents at Cradle Mountain, maybe do a short walk and fuel up before the trip to Strahan. We headed off to Cradle Mountain via Wynyard to fuel up. Most cars stopped at Yolla for Morning tea and again to have a short walk and stretch our legs at Hellyers Gorge. A lot of up and down for the old cars but all made it safely to Cradle Mountain Hotel. The variety of walks was amazing and there were groups doing all sorts of things.
